Australian Government Research Training Program For International Students.

The Australian Government Research Training Program is currently open for applications from suitably qualified international students who wish to commence a postgraduate program at Griffith University and other Australian institutions. The program aims to support outstanding students in their pursuit of a higher degree by research, and provides a full scholarship with a living allowance of AUD $28,854 (2022 rate, indexed annually) per annum, paid as a fortnightly stipend. This scholarship opportunity is available to students from all countries, and covers tuition fees, overseas student health cover, and relocation expenses.

Griffith University considers applications for scholarships through a competitive, merit-based selection process, with scholarships awarded throughout the year. The scholarship is open to students who are commencing or enrolled in a Higher Degree by Research program (for which RTP support is available) at Griffith University, and who are not receiving income from another source to support their general living costs that provides a benefit greater than 75% of the RTP stipend. Income unrelated to the candidate’s research program, or income received for the candidate’s research program but not for the purposes of supporting general living costs, is not to be taken into account.

As an international student, you will have the opportunity to experience the rich and diverse culture of Australia. The country is multicultural and multiracial, and this is reflected in the food, lifestyle, and cultural practices. The Indigenous heritage of Australia also plays a defining role in the cultural landscape, and you will have the chance to learn more about this important aspect of the country's history.

To be considered for the Australian Government Research Training Program, applicants must choose a research program and topic, find and connect with a research supervisor. Required documents must also be gathered, and the application must be submitted online. You can apply for the scholarship at any time through the Continuous Scholarship Round, and if your application is successful, you can commence at the next available intake.

If you have any questions about the scholarship or the application process, you can contact Griffith University via email at hdr-enquiry@griffith.edu.au, telephone at +61 7 3735 3817, or through the frequently asked questions section on the Griffith University website.

Apply today and take the first step towards pursuing your research dreams in Australia with the Australian Government Research Training Program!
