One of the latest collaborations between the two countries is the Embassy of France Scholarships for Nigerian Students. This scholarship program is aimed at Nigerian students who are interested in pursuing a postgraduate degree in computer science in France. The program is fully funded, covering tuition fees, accommodation, transportation, and a monthly stipend.

The scholarship is funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the French Ministry for Higher Education and Research, and implemented by the French Embassy and Campus France Nigeria. The program is designed to promote academic excellence and cultural exchange between France and Nigeria.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be Nigerian nationals, up to 35 years old, hold a Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in science/engineering/technology, and have completed National Service. French proficiency is not a requirement for application, and the scholarship covers two academic years if the scholar is admitted in M1, and one academic year if the scholar is admitted in M2.

Applicants are required to submit a copy of their international passport data page (valid for a minimum of two years), a detailed CV, a personal statement, Bachelor’s diploma or equivalent, undergraduate transcript, and a recommendation letter from their university (not mandatory but strongly recommended).
